Massage Therapy and Relaxation for Stressed Out People

Client receiving a massage on their right arm

If you’ve never experienced a massage therapy session, have ‘treated’ yourself while on vacation or haven’t had a massage in years, to being with a new medical diagnosis or medical recovery.

Focus of the session

The emphasis at my office is placed on meeting a client and developing a treatment plan, to best support the needs and concerns of each client - a sore neck and shoulders from too many zoom meetings, or working with incisions and scars from surgery, including cancer treatment and top surgery. An initial intake is important, along with understanding. All options are discussed before the start of your session.

Massage does NOT need to hurt to be beneficial, or that soreness and bruising the day after are necessary signs for a ‘successful massage’. We work with the nervous system, rather than trying to ‘power through’, which allows a deeper session, restorative relaxation and more connection to one’s body. If you are looking for a practitioner to ‘really get in there and work out the knots’ why your body dislikes every every second of the session, we are not a good fit. If you are wanting relief from pain without feeling pummeled - we are a good fit.

Modalities offered

Modalities include therapeutic massage, silicone cupping, manual lymph drainage (MLD) and working with scar tissue, along with understanding the fascia system. It’s support which considers all aspects to work with your nervous system and to provide a space to relax and decompress.
